With the arrival of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), most South African companies – big corporates and small to medium enterprises – were faced with an urgent need to comply with this complex and challenging act. Data Ark Consulting responded to this gap in the market by forming a data management consultancy, specialising in the POPI Act. The company has since grown from strength to strength and widened its service offerings to cover a comprehensive and holistic range of IT-related services and solutions.

Today, Data Ark Consulting is known as a professional data management consulting firm, established by experienced individuals who offer in excess of 12 years of experience in the information technology sector.

Our team

Our team is made of consultants who are highly experienced in the banking (retail and corporate), retail and consumer (FMCG) and technology space. Each consultant has a set of skills and years of experience that assist organisations in solving their complex data-related challenges. Furthermore, this extensive expertise includes aligning solutions with the global standards around legal, risk and compliance.

Our vision statement presents what we, as a company, would like to achieve over the long term. Our vision is to establish and grow a go-to consultancy which provides every day and long-term practical and innovative data-related solutions for all entities.

 

Our Mission Statement

Why does our business exist? This is the fundamental question that our team unpacked when it was time to create our mission statement. We broke our mission into three prominent actions. We had to establish a foundation, then prioritise clients’ needs and finally drive our business through relationships:
